Art direction, information design, branding and creative thinking. Clients include Louisiana Economic Development and New Orleans Tourism.


+F Design Office / Principal / August 2002 – present

Visual design, photography and consulting for clients including Seattle Arts & Lectures, the IxDA, University of Texas–Arlington, and the American Institute of Architects.


University of Washington / Designer / Seattle / 2007– 08

Facilitated the design of a campus wide identity and online resource for environmental stewardship. The goal was to educate the public about the University of Washington’s efforts to reduce its environmental footprint. Materials to be produced: identity collateral, web site, banners, waste bins, and campus vehicle graphics.


HKS Architects, Inc. / Designer / Dallas / August 2002 – August 2006

Contributed visual and environmental design solutions through the development of branding identities, marketing collateral, and promotional materials. Project work included design and information architecture of corporate website and intranet, publication layout, art direction, non-profit organization collateral, and photography.


_TEACHING EXPERIENCE

University of Washington / Winter 2007 – Winter 2008

ART 166 / Design Foundations / 150 student lecture + studio course

Assisted in studio and lecture-based classes where I lectured and led critiques to develop conceptual relationships through photography, integrate typography and image, and compliment form, function, and material in the design of a load-bearing cardboard stool.


University of Washington / Fall 2007

HUM 204 / The Role of Perspective in History, Science, and Design

150+ student lecture course

Customized weekly lectures, led discussions, critiques, and co-developed projects based upon readings and films. Topics included Cybernetics and Society by Norbert Weiner and The Ecological Approach to Visual Perception by James Gibson.


Interact Project / Instructor / Summer 2007

Maurice Woods / Founder + Senior Designer Pentagram SF

Assisted in an outreach program to teach inner city youth and the community about the power of graphic design. Co-developed group projects and led classroom activities.
